Longer life on the shelf
With no oxygen there is no mould growth and no oxidation — which is what opens markets days away from your plant.
Taking the oxygen out of the pack is what stops mould and oxidation — and the barrier film is what stops it coming back in.

A clear, tight pack presents the product professionally, and that is a practical condition for getting into retail chains.
Vacuum only, MAP, or VSP — by changing the configuration, not the machine.
Chains draw the bottom film through and form it into cavities. The product goes in — white cheese, kashkaval, butter or milk confectionery — and the air is evacuated, or evacuated and then gas flushed (MAP). A high-barrier top film of PA/PE or EVOH/PE is then sealed on and the packs are cut. Removing the oxygen is what prevents mould and oxidation for the whole shelf life.
